This tsuba is formed in a classic mokko-gata outline with softly rounded lobes and a slightly irregular hand-forged profile, giving the plate a quiet, organic presence. The iron shows a dark, mature patina with areas of surface texture consistent with age and long handling. The plate is relatively stout, with a reassuring density in hand, yet not excessively thick.
The tsuba is adorned with leaves and vines in inlays of shakudo, silver and gold. Sekigane are still present and indicate a functional mount.
