The copper shows a warm ochre-gold tone deepened by decades of natural patination, with scattered darker areas from oxidation and subtle reddish-brown highlights near the seams. The flare and proportions are classic, with a tight fit between upper and lower halves. The overall form is functional and robust, with a focus on precision of fit rather than decorative embellishment, as was typical of Edo-period habaki intended for daily mounted blades.
