This stunning high quality set features deep black shakudo (copper and gold alloy) with extremely fine nanako-ji. This style of fine dots was reserved for elite samurai and court officials who could afford the luxury. Featured in thick gilt inlays are the maru go-san-no-kiri and standard go-san-no-kiri mon. These were used by high ranking samurai loyal to the shogunate.
